Repayment, Expiry & Default
Review repayment deadlines, default, and collateral claims.
Repayment Timing
Repay before the Due deadline shown in Portfolio, allowing time for confirmation. You owe the principal and the full term's interest, even if you repay early.
Repay a Loan
- Connect the borrower wallet and open Portfolio on Robinhood Chain.
- Open the active loan and review Loan amount, Interest, Total repayment, Due, and the network fee. Repay in the loan currency shown.
Review the full repayment amount, deadline, and network fee.Test example; check the live app for current rates and terms. - Keep enough ETH for gas and enough of the loan currency for Total repayment. Your original payout is less than the principal because of the activation fee, and you also owe interest.
- Select Repay. For a WETH loan, if your WETH balance is short, the modal adds Wrap ETH and shows the ETH needed to cover the difference.
- Approve spending if the modal asks you to. For WETH, the action is Approve WETH.
The repayment modal includes wrapping and approval when needed. - Complete Repay loan and confirm the transaction in your wallet. Successful repayment returns the NFT to the borrower wallet.
- After confirmation, the modal shows Loan repaid with the total and NFT number. Select Done. Portfolio removes the loan from the active list.
Loan repaid confirms successful repayment. - Check that the NFT is back in your wallet. You can review the completed loan in History.
Default
After an unpaid loan expires, the borrower modal shows "This loan defaulted." It replaces Due with Ended and removes the Repay button. Default depends on the repayment deadline, not the collection floor or LTV.
The borrower can no longer repay, and the lender can claim the NFT. The protocol does not collect an interest-based fee after default.
The contract cannot take your repayment and let the lender claim the same collateral.
Claim Collateral
Select Claim on the defaulted Lending row. The Claim default modal shows the amount lent, NFT number, and Network fee.
Select Claim default and confirm the transaction in your wallet. The lender pays the gas.
Wait for Default claimed, then select Done. Portfolio removes the position from the active Lending list. Check that the NFT has arrived in the connected lender wallet and review the claim in History.
