Repay an Ordinal Loan

Repay before expiry to recover collateral and avoid default.

You need enough spendable BTC to cover the principal, interest, and network fee. Eligible unconfirmed BTC produced and tracked through Liquidium may be usable. Unrelated external pending deposits may still need to confirm.

How do I repay my loan?

  1. Go to your Portfolio page.

  2. Locate your active loan under Borrowing, click Repay, and choose Slow, Medium, Fast, or Custom using the fee cog.

  3. Click "Repay".

  4. Confirm and sign the transaction in your wallet.

  5. If you want to speed up the repaying transaction, have a look here: How to speed up a transaction (CPFP).

Make sure that you are repaying from the same wallet as you started the loan with.

Repayment timing and collateral return

Initiate repayment before the loan timer expires. If confirmation arrives slightly after expiry, the repayment still counts as timely as long as it was initiated before the deadline.

For current in-house loans, repayment and return of the collateral happen atomically in the same transaction. Legacy or other loan backends may show a separate Unlock action; follow the action displayed in your Portfolio.

What if I don't have enough spendable BTC while repaying?

Check the spendable balance and warning shown in the repayment modal. If a pending Liquidium transaction is eligible for acceleration, open Portfolio → Pending and use the available CPFP action. Otherwise, wait for the funds to confirm or add enough BTC to cover the repayment and network fee.

Then return to Portfolio → Borrowing → Repay.
